World Mental Health Day 2025 is on the 10th of October. Awareness will be raised about mental health issues. The goal is for people to understand how important mental health is and then learn to make a conscious effort to protect it. Another important thing done on this day is correcting misconceptions about mental health.
How possible is it to stay sane in an insane world? Maintaining good mental health is one of the major struggles of humans. Life comes with so many challenges, some we are born into, and others we meet along the line. The ability to manage all these challenges is more mental than physical and that is why I always say that mental health has a huge role to play in our productivity as humans.
I have another question though. Why does it seem like we pay more attention to physical health than mental health, especially in this part of the world? The funny thing is that they are dependent on each other, so we need them to work together for effective functioning.
The disheartening part of this is that so many people are living with mental health issues without knowing or without wanting to acknowledge them. This happens because of three major reasons Ignorance, Denial, and stigma. Lack of mental health awareness has hindered so many growths and limited so many people from achieving their dreams.
Becoming more intentional about your mental health means making conscious and deliberate efforts to make sure you are mentally healthy.
There are two sides to this ;

Please don’t try to diagnose them or over-express your personal opinion about their condition.
